University Pathways Programmes

In Post 16 at President Kennedy school we are delighted to send students every year to some of the top universities in the country. 

We encourage as many students as possible to apply for university pathway programmes that will increase their chances of successfully applying to these top universities.

 

We have students who apply to the following schemes:

 

Warwick Pathways - this is for Year 12 students interested in studying Law, Banking & Finance and Engineering. This is open to Year 12 students.

Realising opportunities - this is for Year 12 students interested in going to universities but who still have not decided which course they want to do  Please apply here https://realisingopportunities.co.uk/apply/  

The deadline  for applications is Friday 25th October 2024


HE+ - this is for Year 12 students interested in applying for competitive universties, such as Oxford, Cambridge and Russell group universities. We are the Coventry Hub for HE + and the launch events take p[lace in our Post 16 building

Warwick Scholars - this is a programme for Year 12 students interested in studying at warwick University, our closest Russell Group university. Successful applicants who complete the Warwick Scholars course are entitled  to a guaranteed offer of between 2-4 grades lower than the standard entry requirements and a 50% tuition fee discount for each year of study. They will also receive a bursary of up to £2,000 per year to support you with accommodation on-campus or with travel to and from campus during your studies.

Access to Birmingham (A2B) - this programme is for Year 13 students who have chosen the University of Birmingham as one of their university choices on their UCAS application.

Once you successfully apply and complete A2B, you will receive two offers from the University of Birmingham, the standard offer and a Pathways to Birmingham offer. The Pathways to Birmingham offer is typically a reduction of up to two A level grades (e.g. BBB rather than AAB).

If you are a Medicine and Dentistry applicant, you must submit your A2B application by Thursday 14 November 2024.

The A2B application deadline for all other applicants is Thursday 13 February 2025.
